Trees Across Raleigh Volunteers

A special thank you to the University of Chapel Hill Kenan-Flager’s Team for volunteering for the Trees Across Raleigh, 15th Annual Spring Planting Project. This Planting Project was held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 9:00am until 12:00 noon. This special event was a major part of several programs held for The Kenan-Flager’s Spring Community Day.

The UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flager’s Team joined over 150 volunteers to help plant 200 trees at Fallon Park, in Raleigh, NC. The trees were planted along (1) the Green Way Trails and (2) along other lots e.g., the local Federal Emergency Agency (FEMA) Lots. The Mayor Nancy McFarlane of Raleigh, NC provided a brief speech to thank all of the volunteers.
